Standing balance poses are one of the best movements to practice regularly, particularly as we get older.
I hear a lot of people say they have ‘poor balance’ assuming balance is a brain skill but balance is also very much related to strength. In this workshop we will pay particular attention to decreasing your ankle ‘wobble’ by tapping into the extra strong muscles around the hip.
We will also explore ways to progress into dynamic variations of these poses that challenge balance in a whole different way and truly prepare you for an active life off your mat.
There will be lots of wobbles and giggles that will accompany major progress.
