In-Person Workshops
I teach regular workshops from two hour mini workshops to half-day events and whole weekends.
These are opportunities to go more deeply into learning and moving for particular body issues or movement goals with a like-minded group.
These workshops are specifically designed to help you make change in your body as well as being enjoyable and supportive movement experiences.
In these deeper dives into movement, I provide the context around issues you might be experiencing, a path to making change and, of course, a sequence of exercises to help. You will learn the ‘why’ not just the ‘how’ for each movement and also how to adapt any exercise to suit your body and your starting point.

Anatomy of A Pose Series:
2 Hr Monthly Friday Yoga Workshops
Poses are often done for a purpose: such as to stretch the hamstrings or strengthen the core. However our bodies are very good at avoiding a tight or weak spot and using other muscles instead. We may be left wondering why our hamstrings or core never change despite daily forward bends and planks. The reason is simple but not obvious: the way you set up for a pose makes a massive difference to which parts of you are strengthened or stretched.
This series takes familiar yoga poses and breaks them down joint-by-joint exploring the alignment that gives you the most benefit.
For each pose we isolate the key movement skills and explore pose variations and props to target all of our joints and develop mobility, strength and control in a safe way. You will feel these poses in a whole new way.

Move Your DNA
The exercises in the book are chosen to restore movement to underused parts of the body to make movement both more comfortable and beneficial for the whole body.
During the weekend you will learn how to assess how you currently move and the importance of exercise alignment or form to get the most out of each exercise for your body.
We also spend time translating the smaller exercises to bigger natural movements like walking and squatting as well as discussing lifestyle changes and habits that can bring more movement into your life.
The weekends are suitable for those brand new to a movement practice as well as fitness enthusiasts and movement professionals wanting to understand movement in a more nuanced way.
As well as teaching my own workshops I am also the UK teacher for Nutritious Movement®’s, Move Your DNA Weekends.
Move Your DNA Weekends are two-day workshops designed to provide live, instructive experience of the 40 exercises in the book Move Your DNA by Katy Bowman.
